In 2023, Harris County expanded efforts to promote citizenship among Greater Houston’s immigrants by launching Immigration Naturalization Service Fund (INSF), joining forces with Houston Endowment, HILSC, National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA), and many legal services and community-based organizations to expand the community’s access to free legal services in their citizenship and naturalization application. Naturalize Now, Houston! is a repository of all the resources from application assistance to ESL and civics classes to materials to help studying for the citizenship exam and more. The aim is to break down the barriers that have kept some lawful permanent residents from applying for citizenship already.
The INSF providers, listed below, focus on the legal services aspects of the citizenship application process, including helping to complete the application, apply for fee waivers or reduced fee, disability waivers and preparing for interviews.
